Neal Fullerton is a highly engaging speaker who has a unique way of energising any conference or seminar by bringing people together through musical teamwork.
Neal has spoken and performed at hundreds of events delivering his unique interactive music sessions being a powerful metaphor for teamwork.
Using very simple instruments – (tuned plastic tubes called “Boomwhackers”) which are handed out to everyone – Neal can transform your “audience” into “participants”, with up to 500 people working together and playing Beethoven’s 9th symphony!
Neal brings a wealth of diverse experience to his sessions, gathered on his journey from the Royal College of Music and music therapy, to real-world experience as a professional musician.
His business experience includes working with several international blue-chip companies, running sales teams for corporations in the UK such as Pilkington and Bausch & Lomb. He also has developed and run training courses in business presentation skills for key Scandinavian players in the oil industry including ConocoPhillips and Statoil.
Being able to draw on all of this experience and combine music, communication, business and entertainment makes him a very engaging speaker.
Teamwork and communication are the key themes in his sessions.
“Think of any good band – The Rolling Stones, Duke Ellington or the Royal Philharmonic – they’re all really good teams that communicate effectively to produce harmony”
Neal’s interactive musical sessions vividly illustrate what can be achieved with effective teamwork and are also an entertaining way to energise your conference.
Having the entire audience actively involved and contributing towards a shared goal, creates an atmosphere of participation and engagement. It’s also a real plus that this inclusive feeling can positively impact the rest of the conference. Neal’s energiser sessions deliver numerous benefits for a seminar or conference such as:
- Breaking the ice
- Demonstrating teamwork
- Kick-starting a meeting
- Getting people talking to each other
- Re-focusing the group after lunch
- Motivating the group
- Energising the audience
His entertaining sessions are a subtle, yet effective way to remind us of key elements of teamwork – but without doing so too directly. These are some of the ideas incorporated that are easily recognised by everyone taking part:
- Everyone has something to contribute
- Cooperation is essential
- Maintaining your focus is key
- Listening is important
- Communication is vital
- Leadership is necessary
- We need each other
Audiences enjoy Neal’s passion for music as well as his energy and entertaining stage presence. He has an infectious sense of humour and audiences really enjoy the insights he shares about how music “works”.
In a highly entertaining way, he demonstrates how the skills we need to play music together are the same skills we need to work together.
Conference delegates are engaged and energised – plus they have a lot of fun.
Neal can present in English or Norwegian.
